Rachel Snyder
Pre-Licensed Professional Counselor
Rachel is a pre-licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treating OCD and anxiety-related disorders. She has been providing evidence-based treatment in private practice since 2021 and is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and the Comprehensive Behavioral Model (ComB) for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs).
Rachel earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) from Chatham University, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, self-esteem challenges, communication issues, and grief. Rachel’s training has involved extensive work with clients aged 5 and up, focusing on OCD, anxiety disorders, perfectionism, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and BFRBs.
Rachel tailors her therapeutic approach to each client, combining evidence-based practices like ERP, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with elements from Existential and Gestalt therapies. She believes in creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel understood and empowered to take meaningful steps in their lives. Rachel’s approach is rooted in humanistic values, and she strives to help clients recognize their strengths and values while navigating their mental health concerns.
